What Makes a Wheel 'Premium'? 4 Signs You’re Getting the Real Deal

1. Precision Bearing Lock

If your bearings slip or spin out of alignment, it’s game over. Some brands resort to glue or loose fits that wear out fast. At Igloo, we do it differently.

We heat-insert every bearing into the wheel. This causes the urethane to expand just enough to accept the bearing, then shrink back to a tight, permanent fit as it cools. No glue, no gimmicks.

Our bearing seat tolerances are precise, and we back them for the life of the wheel. If you ever have an issue with bearing slip, we’ll replace them. Simple as that.

2. Pressure-Cast for Perfection

Our urethane is injected via syringe into custom molds while a chemical reaction is actively occurring. The material is low-viscosity and high-heat, which allows it to fully fill the mold and enter a pressure chamber for curing.

This process removes every air bubble and results in flawless shape and density. Unlike lathed wheels, which rely on the operator’s skill and can introduce errors, our casting method ensures every wheel is shaped right from the start.

The only machining we do is a final touch on the back end of the wheel to prep for bearing insertion. That’s it.

3. Consistent Durometer & Ride Feel

We don’t guess when it comes to feel. By controlling casting variables like temperature, humidity, and cure time, we ensure every wheel matches its intended hardness and performance.

Our strict quality control means that a lot of wheels never make it to packaging. And unlike some brands, we don’t sell B-stock. If it’s not elite, it doesn’t ship.

What you ride is what we ride — no compromises.

4. A Real Guarantee, Backed by Real People

Every wheel is backed by our no-BS guarantee. If you run into bearing slip, a clicky bearing, or spot an air bubble, we’ll send a replacement. No hoops. No drama.

We check emails and DMs daily, respond within 24 hours, and ship every order within 24 hours of purchase. If something goes wrong, you’ll never be left hanging.
